What TazTag stores

TazTag is an offline-first app. The businesses, sites, jobs, appliances, tests and any photos or signatures you record are stored locally on your device - TazTag does not send this data to a server, because it doesn't have one.

No accounts, no tracking

TazTag doesn't require an account to use, and doesn't include analytics or advertising tracking. Nothing about your usage is collected or sent anywhere by the app itself.

Device permissions

TazTag may ask for access to your camera or photo library, to attach photos to an appliance or test, and to your location, to record where a job took place. These are used only to fill in the record you're creating, and stay on your device with the rest of your data.

Exporting and sharing

When you export a register or share/print a record, TazTag hands that file to your device's own share, save or print options - the file only leaves your device when you choose to send it somewhere.

Your data, your device

Because everything is stored locally, uninstalling TazTag removes your data with it. TazTag doesn't currently back your data up to the cloud - export a register or copy of anything you need to keep before uninstalling or switching devices.
